Job Summary
Provide companionship, emotional support, and daily living assistance including transfers, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and toileting for veteran clients. Use mobility aids such as walkers, wheelchairs, or Hoyer Lifts as needed. Serve meals, maintain housekeeping, and report unusual events to the administrator while acting quickly during emergencies. Complete all duties within the Client Service Plan. Flexible part-time or full-time shifts available Sunday through Saturday. Requires current CNA license or PCA certificate, one year of caregiver experience, valid driver's license, and ability to pass background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Current CNA License or PCA Certificate Holder
- Must be able to pass a Virginia State Police background check
- State-required Reference Checks
- 1 year caregiver experience in hospital, nursing home, other facility or homecare agency setting
- Valid driver's license/state ID and reliable daily transportation
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
- Adequate physical endurance
