Job Summary
Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse. Assist residents with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort and assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients. Demonstrates competency in assisting with admissions, transfers and discharges; performs morning and evening care (bed bath, oral hygiene, grooming, changing linens, room tidying); assists in treatment procedures and general nursing care (positioning, lifting, turning, bedpan/commode use, ambulation); records vital signs and intake/output; adheres to facility policies; reports changes to RN/LPN; monitors skin integrity and nourishment; responds to call lights and anticipates residents’ needs; follows directions and collaborates with staff; develops skills in basic nursing procedures and charting; duties include documenting weight changes and communicating findings to the team leader.
Required Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma CNA Certification required.
- Current BLS certification or must be obtained during orientation.
- Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required.
