CNA or Medical Assistant - Psychiatry Clinic

Job Summary
Conduct delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel to support the patient plan of care. Provide quality patient care under the direction of licensed practitioners, promote efficient clinic operations, and assist physicians and support staff. Maintain professional customer service standards while performing all duties in an engaging manner. Complete required certifications including Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program graduation, Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire, and Medication Aide certification if administering medications. Work 40 hours weekly Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program
- Medication Aide certification and completion of an Injectables course (based on department need)
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program
- Current Medication Aid Registry listing or completed within first 30 days of hire or transfer date (if administering medications)
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience in a physician's office
- Experience in a related area
- Ability to be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Medical assistant certification
- Medical Scribe experience
