Job Summary
Conduct delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel to achieve patient plans of care. Provide quality care to patients under the direction of licensed practitioners, promoting efficient clinic operations and assisting physicians and support staff. Maintain professional and engaging customer service while performing all duties required for the Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant role. Complete required certifications including Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. Work the first shift from Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, at the Internal Medicine Specialty Clinic within the Durham Outpatient Center.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program
- Medication Aide certification and completion of an Injectables course (based on department need)
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation
- Current Medication Aid Registry listing or completed within first 30 days of hire or transfer date (if administering medications)
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience in a physician's office
- Experience in a related area
- Ability to be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Medical assistant certification
- Medical Scribe experience
