Job Summary
Provide companionship and conversation, assist with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding, and perform light housekeeping such as laundry and linen changing. Plan and prepare meals, provide medication reminders, and offer transportation to and from appointments. Help family members learn safe care techniques while interpreting the client's provided plan of care. Must hold a valid driver's license, be able to lift 25 lbs, and be reachable via phone or email for shift schedules and emergencies. Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
- Ability to interpret the client's provided plan of care
- Valid driver's license and transportation
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Tolerance to small pets (i.e. dogs and/or cats)
- Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
