Job Summary
Collect and record routine health data including cultural background, activities of daily living, and oral health status reports. Provide assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, mouth care, hair care, repositioning, and ambulation according to physician orders. Perform hourly rounding covering pain, potty, personal needs, and possessions while conducting blood glucose testing, vital signs, and simple wound care. Work every Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with an hourly range of $20.25 to $27.91. This role supports the Frederick Health mission and requires CNA certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing and current CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- CNA Certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing as required by Health Occupations Article Title 8-6A-01
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology
- Ability to use technology and equipment to perform job duties
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective use of proper body mechanics when handling patients, supplies and equipment
- Ability to handle a physically demanding environment
- Skills and abilities to perform all job description duties according to the age specific patient population served by their department
