Job Summary
CNA - OLGMC 9W Med Tele, Part Time Nights: 2 shifts per week (6:45PM–7:15AM) at Ochsner Health in Lafayette, LA. Provides basic patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, maintains patient safety, communicates with patients, families, and staff, and completes delegated tasks with documentation. Requires current CNA certification and BLS within 30 days of hire; CPI within 30 days of hire. Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent and telemetry hospital experience. Strong computer skills, organization, and communication abilities; flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- CNA certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association to be obtained within 30 days from hire
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) to be obtained within 30 days from hire
- High School diploma or equivalent (Education Preferred)
- Hospital and telemetry experience (Work Experience Preferred)
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
