Job Summary
CNA/Nursing Assistant/Nurse Apprentice on the Medical/Oncology floor (5 South) at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The role involves performing nursing care services and related non-professional tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse, plus clerical and patient service coordination to support the unit. Care settings include oncology/cancer patients, medical-surgical, dialysis, psych, dementia, isolation/infectious disease (including negative isolation rooms), remote telemetry, palliative, and hospice. Schedule: 3 shifts per week from 7am-7:30pm with flexibility for weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Minimum qualifications require Idaho CNA certification or an active Nurse Apprentice application and Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire; six months of CNA experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing or complete the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program required
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
