Job Summary
Conduct receptionist and secretarial duties on the Med/Surg and TCU patient care units while serving as the focal communication source for patients, visitors, staff, and physicians. Assist staff nurses in patient treatment and care in accordance with hospital policies, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles to assess data and interpret information for age-specific needs. Utilize the Cerner Electronic Medical Record System and apply basic computer skills to manage patient confidentiality. Work nights in 12-hour shifts with a valid Indiana CNA license, CPR certification, and customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent
- Valid CNA License in the State of Indiana
- CPR
- Customer Skills
- Basic Computer Skills
- Demonstration of basic knowledge of patient care and basic ADLs
- Required use of Electronic Medical Record System (Cerner)
- Patient Confidentiality
