Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant assists with direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, supports activities of daily living, and helps maintain a safe, clean patient environment. Responsibilities include obtaining and reporting vital signs, performing glucose testing and EKGs as indicated, safe patient transportation, proper documentation in the EMR, equipment management, infection control, and precepting new nursing assistants. Requires CPR certification and either prior CNA experience, completion of nursing assistant training, current CNA certification, or MRMC nursing assistant training program. The role is non-exempt, part-time with a day shift (0645-1515) and every-other-weekend/holiday schedule, based in Milford, MA at UMass Memorial Health.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- One of: One year nursing assistant experience OR completion of nursing assistant training program OR current nursing assistant certification (CNA) OR MRMC nursing assistant training program
