Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential support to meet the personal needs and comfort of patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene tasks, performing delegated nursing tasks such as collecting specimens, administering enemas, and maintaining a clean patient care environment. The role requires maintaining clinical competency, communicating patient observations, and upholding ethical standards in care delivery. The position mandates a high school diploma, completion of a Nursing Assistant Program, current CNA certification, and BLS/CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant Program
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Maryland
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
