Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating while monitoring and recording vital signs. Provide support in emergency situations, help lift and transfer residents safely, and maintain a clean environment adhering to infection control protocols. Document resident information accurately ensuring HIPAA compliance and collaborate with nursing staff to deliver hospice care for terminally ill patients. This role is essential for providing exceptional long-term, sub-acute, and memory care within a family-owned skilled nursing facility.
Required Qualifications
- Must be Certified by the State
- Strong understanding of resident care principles and practices
- Ability to provide compassionate support in hospice care settings
- Proficient in lifting techniques to ensure the safety of both patients and staff
- Familiarity with Skilled Nursing, Sub-acute, and Memory Care and the specific needs of residents
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain resident confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations during an emergency
- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals
