Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse; maintain a clean and safe patient care environment; monitor patients and notify nursing staff of changes in behavior or status; communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff; complete documentation of patient-related tasks; adapt care to patient age and needs; participate in plan of care within scope of skills; requires High school diploma or equivalent and Louisiana CNA certification; BLS and CPI within specified timelines; hospital/telemetry experience preferred; strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills; flexible schedule including weekends/holidays/on-call as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Louisiana CNA certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association to be obtained within 30 days from hire
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) to be obtained within 30 days from hire
