Job Summary
Facilitate a safe and secure environment for patients, residents, families, and providers under direct supervision by the RN. Maintain clear communication regarding patient needs and ensure a hazard-free, clean environment focused on resident care. Complete delegated duties for the shift while reporting to licensed nurses within the scope of practice. Obtain Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire and complete Caring Reliably, Culinary Training, ServSafe, and Dining Assistance within four months. Achieve National Provider BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Coursework/Training and Successful completion of Caring Reliably, Culinary Training, ServSafe, and Dining Assistance within four months of hire
- Coursework/Training and Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or personal care attendant in long term care or hospital
