Job Summary
Under direct supervision of the RN, facilitate a safe and secure environment for patients, residents, families, and providers by completing delegated duties and maintaining clear communication regarding resident needs. Ensure the department remains a hazard-free, clean environment focused on patient care while adhering to the scope of practice for nursing services. Maintain Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification and complete required training modules including Caring Reliably, Culinary Training, ServSafe, and Dining Assistance within four months of hire. This role supports Providence's mission of caring for vulnerable communities through a culture of whole-person care built on mutual respect.
Required Qualifications
- Coursework/Training and Successful completion of Caring Reliably, Culinary Training, ServSafe, and Dining Assistance within four months of hire.
- Coursework/Training and Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months of experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or personal care attendant in long term care or hospital.
