Job Summary
Under direct supervision this CNA position assists with creating a safe, hazard-free environment and supports RN-led patient/resident care. Responsibilities include facilitating safe and secure care, clear communication of resident needs between patient, family, and providers, and delivering nursing services under the scope of practice supervised by licensed nurses. The role supports patient-focused care in a long-term care setting and involves tasks delegated for the shift to help maintain overall care quality. Priorities include maintaining a clean environment, adherence to safety protocols, and contributing to the team-based care model within Providence Seward Mountain Haven in Seward, AK.
Required Qualifications
- Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License (upon hire)
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (within 30 days of hire)
- Coursework/Training and Successful completion of Caring Reliably, Culinary Training, ServSafe, and Dining Assistance within four months of hire
