Job Summary
Pick up open shifts as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision. Perform tasks including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining vital signs, transferring, repositioning, and providing psychosocial support. Assist with food preparation, collect non-invasive specimens, and document resident interactions and care outcomes. Maintain infection prevention policies, complete required competency testing, and participate in wellness programs while adhering to a minimum of 32 hours per month with weekend and holiday requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
- Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry (when applicable)
- Motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license (when applicable)
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
