Job Summary
L'Acadie, Van Buren, ME presents a Full Time CNA role (36 hours/week, 3p-11p) providing direct and indirect patient care under the charge nurse. Responsibilities include carrying out components of the plan of care for basic physical, social, and emotional needs; ADLs; nutrition and fluids; elimination; documenting concerns; reporting incidents; promoting dignity, teamwork, patient advocacy, and applying age- and culture-appropriate care. The position emphasizes adherence to the Nursing Plan of Care, infection control, safety, and collaboration with the healthcare team, with requirement to maintain current CNA certification and related training.
Required Qualifications
- Meets a minimum of 12 hours per year of continuing education (hours submitted to the Health Education Department for recording).
- Meets the unit’s annual competency training requirements.
- Maintains current Heartsaver or BLS.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- CNA/RA-Certified Nurses’ Assistant certification.
- DTA – Certified Nurses’ Assistant certification, 60 hours in-service training 3 months full time experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities - if applicable
- With consideration to our patients’ and staff needs, you may need to work on days, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays and may need to float to other units.
