Job Summary
Work under registered nurse supervision to perform personal hygiene care, assist with activities of daily living, and support client mobility through transfers and ambulation. Observe patients, document observations and care performed, and accurately record vital signs and daily clinical notes. Maintain assigned caseloads, communicate with clients and staff, and adapt to changing workloads in a fast-moving environment. Full-time and part-time evening shifts available with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Requires 75-hour CNA certification, Iowa Nurse Aide Registry listing, current BLS, and Mandatory Reporter course completion.
Required Qualifications
- 75-hour CNA course certification
- Must be listed on the Iowa Nurse Aide Registry at time of hire
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification by the standards of the American Heart Association
- Proof of having completed Mandatory Reporter course at time of hire or attendance within 6 months of start date
- Adherence to all training requirements as mandated by Federal, State, and Professional licensure and regulatory standards
- Understanding and compliance with the requirements of MH's Compliance Program, including the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Mahaska Health Experience Book, and all supporting policies for compliance, and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsibilities
