Job Summary
CNA II / CMA providing compassionate, professional care to individuals with eating disorders and assisting providers to improve patient care. Responsibilities include taking vitals, EKGs, blood draws and accuchecks, preparing exam rooms, chart documentation, assisting with medications and lab coordination, care coordination with the treatment team, shift handoffs, on-site training for tube feeds, running point-of-care labs, and participating in meal support when covering for behavioral health techs. Schedule is Tuesday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm. Compensation is $15–$22 per hour. Requires high school diploma or GED; Medical Assistant track requires graduation from an accredited MA program; CNA II licensure in NC or GA; BLS and First Aid within 30 days; CPI in NC/GA for residential, and WA Food Handler permit for WA site. Proficiency with IT/EHR and phlebotomy/EKG skills expected; prior experience in mental health nursing desirable.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED required
- For Medical Assistants: Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program required
- Certifications/ Licenses: AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA required (for Medical Assistants)
- For Nursing Assistants: Current licensure as CNA II in NC or GA
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
- First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
- CPI certification within 30 days of hire for Residential/Inpatient sites in NC or GA
- Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit within 30 days of hire for Residential site in WA
- Competencies: IT (MS Office, EHR), Phlebotomy, EKGs (pediatric and adult)
- Experience/interest in mental health nursing desirable
