Job Summary
Provide direct patient care as a Certified Nurse Aide in the ICU under supervision, including feeding, monitoring vital signs, specimen collection, monitoring and responding to patient needs, transporting patients, preparing equipment for procedures, explaining procedures to patients and families, cleaning equipment and rooms after discharge, assisting with ADLs and mobility as directed by therapy staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment under the direction of the RN/LVN in charge. PRN shifts; part-time scheduling. Must hold Texas Nurse Aide Registry certification and BLS for Healthcare Providers; able to work in a hospital ICU setting with required health, immunization, and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current certification through the Texas Nurse Aide Registry
- Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
- 1 year current hospital or nursing home Nurse Aide experience or completion of Nurse Aide Course preferred
