Job Summary
Provide routine daily nursing care to residents, including bathing, skin care, toileting, grooming, dressing, feeding, and incontinent care. Answer call lights and alarms, obtain vital signs and weights, and report status changes. Assist with ADLs, transfers, repositioning every 2-3 hours, and ambulation goals while documenting care accurately. Obtain and transport specimens, monitor intake/output, and administer treatments as ordered. Maintain unit cleanliness, stock supplies, and operate equipment safely using proper body mechanics. Support admissions, transfers, and discharges while promoting effective teamwork within the department.
Required Qualifications
- NYS Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- NYS CNA requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- Minimum one-year long-term care experience
