Job Summary
Provides personal care, exercise, and ambulation to patients with life-limiting illness in hospice care, including taking and recording vital signs, reporting changes to the RN, and participating in weekend rotation. Performs light meal preparation, laundering, and other essential household tasks to support patient health, while maintaining safety techniques and proper body mechanics during transfers and other duties. Maintains twelve (12) hour educational requirements and applies proficient communication and interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, and the hospice team. Certification as a Nursing Aide is required; the role emphasizes compassionate, team-oriented care and adherence to state and federal regulations.
