Job Summary
Provide in-home, one-on-one patient care as a Home Care Aide working under a patient-specific care plan. Responsibilities include engaging patients in range-of-motion exercises, assisting with bed baths and meal preparation, running errands, doing light housekeeping, and helping with transfers from bed to wheelchair and with using a bedpan. Maintain records of patient care and report observations to a supervisor; communicate clearly with patients and care team.
Required Qualifications
- CNA certification or Home Health Aide certification
- experience or ability to follow one-on-one care plans
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to assist with ROM exercises, bed baths, meal preparation, transfers, bedpan, and light housekeeping
- detail-oriented
- good organizational skills
- transportation provided to readings area
