Job Summary
Provide patient care under supervision, including morning or evening activities like bed baths, oral hygiene, and skin care. Perform routine treatments such as positioning, lifting patients, assisting with ambulation, and applying anti-embolism stockings. Attends to nutritional needs by preparing and feeding meals, while checking schedules to notify patients of arrival times. Record vital signs, report condition changes, and complete visit documentation. Assists RNs and LPNs with procedures, cleans equipment, and follows infection control policies. Demonstrates competency on annual skills checklists and participates in quality improvement initiatives. Requires six months of related experience, Tennessee CNA licensure, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) months hospital or related experience
- CNA Licensure from the State of Tennessee
- Tennessee CNA License 'in process' (for out of state hires)
- CPR
- Valid Tennessee driver's license Class D
- State mandated minimum insurance coverage
- Driving record meeting Covenant Health minimum standards
- Local travel required
