Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under RN supervision, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs recording, and psychosocial support. Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, range of motion exercises, food preparation, and housekeeping services. Document resident interactions, care outcomes, and dietary needs while communicating changing conditions to the charge nurse. Maintain infection prevention protocols and complete yearly competency testing. Requires CNA certification (or enrollment within four months) and prior long-term care experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Motor vehicle driver classification as a Sanford Category II Driver
- Good Samaritan Drug Free Workplace Policy compliance
Desired Qualifications
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
