Job Summary
Administer and document inhalers, eye drops, ear drops, oral, rectal, and topical medications under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. Assist in providing for residents' physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs under the guidance and teaching of the Charge Nurse. Maintain certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Trained Medication Aide, with the ability to become certified within six months of hire. Work 12-hour day shifts in a full-time or part-time capacity at Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Must have Minnesota CNA and TMA certifications
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or ability to become certified within six months of hire date
- Board of Nursing approved Trained Medication Aide (TMA) training in state of practice required
- Must have successfully completed the 48 hour approved Minnesota Trained Medication Assistant Course
- Must be registered with the Minnesota Department of Health as a Certified Nursing Assistant
