Job Summary
CNA responsibilities include performing AM or PM care per resident care plans, assisting residents with mobility, hygiene, meals, and daily activities, and supporting nursing staff with treatments and documentation. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, ability to follow care plans, and adherence to infection control and QAPI initiatives. Required credentials include active Pennsylvania CNA certification; high school graduate preferred. The position supports daytime shifts 7am-3pm or 7am-7pm with every other weekend and holiday schedules; both Full-Time and Part-Time options are described. Previous hospital or nursing home experience is preferred, and confidentiality and compassionate care of elderly residents are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate preferred or equivalent
- Current Pennsylvania State Certification for nursing assistant
- Previous experience in hospital or nursing home preferred
- Must have patience, compassion, a sense of responsibility and a sincere desire to work with the aged and infirmed
- Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position
- Demonstrates ability to communicate with the elderly and other personnel
- Ability to anticipate needs and modes of geriatric Residents while remaining calm and composed
- Ability to treat Rest Haven and Resident information as confidential
- Must be a professional
- Criminal history background clearance – Act 169 & Act 13
