Job Summary
Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents, encouraging independence and participation in community activities. Conduct activities, assist with dining room transitions, and check on residents to ensure meal and activity attendance. Report incidents, care concerns, and status changes to appropriate individuals including HCC, RN/LPN, or ED, while documenting all interventions in the Daily Log and clinical records. Perform housekeeping duties such as making beds and cleaning apartments and common areas. Respond promptly to resident calls and emergency alerts, maintaining composure during crises. Assist new residents with move-in transitions and provide emotional support. Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Current CNA license from the State in which the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing
- Ability to be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel
- Ability to be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor
- Ability to be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs
- Ability to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics
- Ability to be in designated uniform during working hours, to include name badge and a smile
- Ability to be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire
- Ability to be able to represent the community in a positive and professional manner
- Willingness to attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
