Job Summary
Care for Med/Surg patients under the direction of nursing and medical staff. Responsibilities include responding to call lights/alarms, assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, transporting and repositioning patients, changing bed linens, documenting in the electronic medical record, and supporting fall prevention. Must hold a Texas Certified Nurse Assistant credential, have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience), be able to read/write/speak English, and obtain BLS within 30 days of hire. Provides patient care duties and maintains appropriate clinical environment in Medina Regional Hospital in Hondo, TX.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current Texas Certified Nurse Assistant.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
