Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered basic nursing care and daily living assistance in long-term care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, mobility transfers, range of motion, documenting resident interactions, preparing and serving meals, assisting with dining, supporting wellness and recreational activities, and ensuring infection prevention practices and PPE use are followed. Requires CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing (or in process of obtaining), ability to follow care plans, and participation in ongoing competency training; position may involve driving as per Sanford Driving Policy and may be classified as Sanford Category II Driver where applicable. This is a full-time day-shift role in North Dakota with a 40-hour schedule and benefits package; location details pertain to Sanford Health facilities in the upper Midwest.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Minimum age of 16
