Job Summary
Assist residents with food preparation, serving, and transport; maintain household cleanliness by picking up clutter, removing trash, and cleaning spills. Perform housekeeping tasks and attend household meetings or learning circles to support resident-centered care. Provide physical, social, and environmental support while promoting opportunities for normal life pursuits and maintaining functioning levels. Work nights from 6:45 pm to 7 am in memory care, requiring regular lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and sitting. Maintain a respectful, positive environment for residents, families, and volunteers in alignment with facility policies and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Ohio, on the registry or eligible for testing
- Training in food sanitation
- Training in housekeeping procedures
- Training in restorative nursing
- Training in resident activities
- Free from illegal use of drugs
- Free from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- Able to move freely
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Able to climb and balance regularly
- Able to stoop and bend regularly
- Able to push up to 25 lbs regularly
- Able to stand, sit, walk and reach regularly
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately
