Job Summary
Assist residents with food preparation, serving, and household maintenance including picking up clutter, removing trash, and cleaning spills. Transport residents and attend household meetings and learning circles while fulfilling simple requests. Maintain a positive environment by treating all residents, families, and visitors with respect and kindness to support their independence. Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, balancing, and stooping regularly. Work nights from 6:45 pm to 7 am at SEM Haven, a non-profit ministry providing care for older adults.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Ohio, on the registry or eligible for testing
- Training in food sanitation
- Training in housekeeping procedures
- Training in restorative nursing
- Training in resident activities
- Free from illegal use of drugs
- Free from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- Ability to move freely
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to climb and balance regularly
- Ability to stoop and bend regularly
- Ability to push up to 25 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, sit, walk and reach regularly
- Ability to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately
