Job Summary
Assist nursing personnel with patient care activities and related services necessary for personal needs and comfort. Perform delegated tasks including taking vital signs, administering treatments, and collecting non-invasive biological specimens. Support clinical duties by rooming patients, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining medical supply stock. Record vital statistics, prepare treatment areas, clean patient rooms, and dispose of biomedical waste according to policy. Work Monday through Friday daytime shifts under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Must have good human relations and communication skills
- Must be able to follow procedures and instructions given by the licensed nurse
- Must be able to acquire a basic knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology and equipment within the assigned service area
- Certification and registration with the Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry is required
