Job Summary
Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising. Perform treatments, carry out procedures, collect specimens, and report observations as instructed. Transfer, transport, and escort residents while changing linens and maintaining room order. Answer signal lights promptly and work as a compassionate team member. This role supports residents transitioning between independent, assisted, and skilled nursing care at an upscale Lake County senior living community.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program
- Registration with State registry
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression
- Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Shifts include every other weekend
Desired Qualifications
