Job Summary
Take and record vital signs, weights, and intake-output measurements. Assist patients with ADLs, ambulation, and transfers; encourage coughing and deep breathing. Provide morning or evening care including bed baths, oral hygiene, and linen changes. Empty drains, canisters, and bags; collect specimens; perform phlebotomy and EKG as trained. Monitor oxygen equipment and suction function; maintain infection control policies. Promptly answer call lights and report condition changes to the RN. Function as a sitter for patients requiring full-time supervision. Work full-time, 72 hours per pay period, night shift at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee.
Required Qualifications
- CNA Licensure from the State of Tennessee
- CPR
- Must be able to operate computer
- Must be able to read with comprehension
- Must be able to write legibly
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic computation
- Must have understanding and knowledge of patient care which may be appropriately delegated to nursing assistants
- Must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority
- Must be trained and willing to function in a Sitter capacity for patients who need full-time supervision in the hospital
