Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure while maintaining a clean, safe environment through adherence to infection control protocols. Provide support in emergency situations and assist nursing staff in delivering hospice care for terminally ill patients. Help lift and transfer residents safely using appropriate techniques and equipment. Document resident information accurately ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations while collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care in skilled nursing, sub-acute, and memory care settings.
Required Qualifications
- Must be Certified by the State
- Strong understanding of resident care principles and practices
- Ability to provide compassionate support in hospice care settings
- Proficient in lifting techniques to ensure the safety of both patients and staff
- Familiarity with Skilled Nursing, Sub-acute, and Memory Care and the specific needs of residents
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain resident confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations during an emergency
- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals
