Job Summary
Provide nursing support in a residential substance-use/mental-health treatment facility. Under RN supervision, take and document client vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, blood sugar); monitor self-administration of medications and report changes; conduct dorm/client searches to ensure safety; assist with basic nursing tasks, charting, and routine duties such as storing supplies and filing. Support physicians, psychiatrists, and other providers with exams, orders, and care coordination; observe clients’ physical, mental, and emotional status and communicate changes to nursing staff; perform targeted tasks like room setup and specimen collection under supervision; maintain documentation in the EMR and ensure adherence to protocols. Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to work irregular hours are required.
Required Qualifications
- Current CNA certification
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 6 months related work experience in nursing/medical assisting
- Completion of Medical Assistant training program from an accredited institution
- Ability to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends
