Resident Care Associate provides for the needs of elders, including personal care, therapeutic programming, safety and emotional support in a manner that supports the dignity, independence, choice and individuality of each resident. Duties include delivery of services as written on the approved service plan, assisting with medications per State Regulation and documenting appropriately, engaging residents in meaningful activities, monitoring changes in needs and health status, assisting with clothing, laundry, bedtime routines, and maintaining neat living spaces. Requires completion of orientation programs, participation in ongoing in-service training, and ability to document services and incidents in the community computer tracking system. Also includes conducting therapeutic groups and individual interactions to promote cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity and spiritual connection, with other duties as assigned.
