Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, bathing, toileting, meal support, vital signs, transfers and mobility assistance, range of motion and passive exercises, documentation of resident interactions, infection prevention and PPE use, and participation in wellness/recreational activities. The role supports a safe, positive dining experience, communicates changes in resident condition to the charge nurse, and may involve housekeeping, laundry, and committee involvement. Requires CNA certification, adherence to training/continuing education requirements, and eligibility for state CNA credentials; evening 8-hour shifts on a part-time schedule (including every other weekend). Required Qualifications
- CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- Minimum age 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
