Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under RN supervision. Deliver age-appropriate physical and psychological care per care plans, including bathing, toileting, grooming, and vital sign collection. Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, and range of motion exercises while maintaining infection prevention protocols. Support meal preparation, dining, and recreational programs, documenting interactions and reporting changing conditions to the charge nurse. Collect non-invasive specimens and aid providers with procedures as needed. Maintain clean living areas through housekeeping and laundry services.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
- Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry (when applicable, for applicable states)
- Motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license (if role classifies as Sanford Category II Driver)
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
