Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, transferring, ROM exercises, vital signs, and documenting care. Supports residents with meals, hydration, and psychosocial needs; contributes to infection control and PPE practices; assists with documentation, wellness activities, and communication with the charge nurse. Shift schedules are PRN with varying hours; role may involve on-site duties and collaboration with nursing staff to maintain resident comfort and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
