Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant provides resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under RN supervision, performing daily living assistance (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility), measuring and recording vital signs, assisting with transfers and range-of-motion activities, supporting psychosocial well-being, and documenting resident interactions. Responsibilities include infection control and PPE use, helping with meals and dining experiences, and supporting wellness programs while collaborating with nursing staff. Eligible candidates hold CNA certification and complete required continuing education; facility offers CNA training/certification and ongoing competency assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state-certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
- High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
- Must maintain yearly competency testing and continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually).
- Possess or obtain required state licensure/certification as CNA and be in good standing.
