Job Summary
Provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a nursing home environment to ensure residents attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental and emotional well-being. Assist residents with activities of daily living as outlined in care plans. Complete documentation of resident care as assigned. Follow safety policies in nursing care and uphold facility policies and procedures. Attend facility meetings and in-service training. Observe infection control guidelines. Report changes in resident condition to the Charge Nurse. Support residents’ rights and promote positive relations with residents, families, and guests. Requires completion of an approved CNA training program and successful competency examinations.
Required Qualifications
- The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) must have completed an approved training program and passed competency examinations in clinical skills and written knowledge in accordance with statutory requirements for Certified Nurse Assistant.
