Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents in long-term care settings. Perform tasks including bathing, toileting, grooming, and obtaining vital signs while documenting interactions and outcomes. Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, and range of motion exercises. Support food preparation, dining, and recreational programs. Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and provide psychosocial support. Maintain infection prevention policies and personal protective equipment use. Work minimum 30 hours monthly with one weekend shift per month. Requires three months of long-term care experience and CNA certification.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months experience in Long Term Care
- Minimum of 30 hours per month
- One weekend shift per month
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education
- Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry
- Motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license
- Medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months experience in Long Term Care
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
- CNA training and certification provided by facility
