Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under RN supervision. Perform tasks including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining vital signs, and providing psychosocial support. Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, and range of motion exercises while following infection prevention policies. Support meal services, housekeeping, and laundry duties. Document resident interactions, behaviors, and dietary outcomes; communicate changing conditions to the charge nurse. Collect non-invasive specimens and encourage participation in wellness programs. Requires CNA certification, 3 months long-term care experience, and ability to travel within a 150-mile radius for multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- CNA training and certification required
- Maintains all department specific required certifications
- Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license
- Must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position as per our Sanford Driving Policy per the leaders request
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred)
