Job Summary

Perform direct patient care activities under Registered Nurse supervision, including answering call lights, assisting with activities of daily living, collecting specimens, gathering vital signs, and documenting care in the electronic medical record. Support the department by communicating with patients, physicians, families, and co-workers while adhering to age-specific competency standards. Complete required basic cardiac rhythm interpretation and ACLS certification within 90 days of hire. Work on a cardiology-focused unit serving patients with conditions such as chest pain, congestive heart failure, and arrhythmia, including those undergoing stress tests and cardiac catheterizations. Maintain regular attendance and meet physical requirements for lifting, bending, and patient transfers.

Required Qualifications

  • State of Idaho Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • BLS
  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
  • Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
  • Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
  • Must be able to assist in patient transfer
  • Regular and predictable attendance

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
