Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care activities under Registered Nurse supervision, addressing physical, motor, sensory, cognitive, and psychological needs while meeting age-specific competency standards. Support the department by answering call lights, assisting with activities of daily living, and collecting non-invasive specimens or gathering vital signs. Follow delegation processes for team requests, read charts and equipment settings, and communicate with patients, physicians, families, and co-workers. Document patient care using the electronic medical record and perform procedures as assigned. Maintain regular attendance and demonstrate competence to meet the specific needs of the assigned unit.
Required Qualifications
- State of Idaho Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- BLS
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35 lbs
- Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
- Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
- Must be able to assist in patient transfer
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

- High school diploma or GED
