Job Summary
Direct patient care activities under Registered Nurse supervision, including assisting with activities of daily living, answering call lights, and collecting non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathering vital signs. Meet standards of quality specific to the unit's age-specific competency standards while communicating with patients, physicians, families, and co-workers. Utilize the electronic medical record to document care and follow delegation processes for team requests. Perform procedures as assigned and maintain standing or sitting positions while lifting up to 35 lbs. Requires State of Idaho CNA certification, BLS, and regular predictable attendance.
Required Qualifications
- State of Idaho Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- BLS
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35 lbs
- Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
- Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
- Must be able to assist in patient transfer
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
