Job Summary
Provide care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, vital signs, and height/weight measurements. Assist with daily tasks such as feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping. Maintain a current, valid state certification, high school diploma, successful completion of a nursing assistant program, and CPR certification. Hold a licensed driver's license with an insured, reliable automobile and possess the physical ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings, in-home or facility settings.
Required Qualifications
- A current, valid state certification and in good standing
- High school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant program
- Certified CPR
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience
- Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
